October 9, 2008 - The year has come and gone, but this year in particular holds a special significance. This month, in our final issue of "Under the Microscope", we discuss some of coffee's darker side - Coffee Adulteration.

coffee adulterationThat's right, even as far back as the 1700's coffee adulteration was such a wide spread issue, that the British Parliament passed the "Adulteration of Coffee Act" - a law, which essentially forbade the adulteration of coffee with cheaper products. In the years thereafter the law thwarted many would be perpetrators but only for a short time.

With this article, it marks our one year contribution to Roast Magazine and one we truly enjoyed. We hope all you readers found the subjects interesting and we look forward to hearing your comments.

Thanks again to all who supported us in this journey, we look forward to sharing our coffee science knowledge for many years to come.
